تعریف:

دستورالعمل‌های برنامه که به صورت فایل متنی ASCII نوشته شده‌اند؛ باید توسط کامپایلر، مفسر یا اسمبلر به کد شیء برای یک کامپیوتر خاص ترجمه شوند تا اجرا شوند.
