بخشی از سیستم عصبی خودمختار که از ناحیه سینهای نخاع منشأ میگیرد و اثرات فیزیولوژیکی سیستم پاراسمپاتیک را خنثی میکند: ترشحات گوارشی را کاهش میدهد، ضربان قلب را افزایش میدهد و رگهای خونی را منقبض میکند.
